COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

UPDATE 6/20/2020:

Due to proclamations at the city and county level, all guests inside Jake’s Unlimited over the age of 6 must wear a mask. We will provide masks to guests if needed, and they must be worn at all times outside of the dining areas. Guests refusing to follow the policy will be asked to leave. We appreciate your support as we stand together to keep our community safe and healthy. We’ll see you when you’re ready!

All of us at Jake’s Unlimited are so excited to welcome back our Jake’s friends and family starting Monday, June 1st 2020. We have been working hard over the last ten weeks to get our facility ready and processes in place to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for both our guests and staff. Here’s what you can expect on your next visit to Jake’s Unlimited.


House Rules for All Guests

  • Masks are required by Maricopa County for all guests over the age of 6. You must wear your mask at all times unless in the dining rooms. Guests refusing to follow this mandate will be asked to leave.
  • Practice physical distancing throughout the facility. Especially in ride lines, but you’re welcome to stand with your group. There will be markers on the floor to help determine the proper spacing.
  • No more than 8 people at a table.Pick your faves and tell the others to meet you at Laser Tag afterward. Also, please do not move the tables from where they are.
  • Sanitize your hands often during your stay. There’s plenty of stations around the building. Seriously, so many.
  • Wash your hands before leaving the restroom. An oldie but a goodie.


Changes to the Facility & Play Passes

We are reducing the capacity of the building to approximately 30% when we reopen and will adjust as time goes on based on guest experience, health and safety standards, and community wellness. In order to accommodate these capacity restrictions but still allow as many families as possible to join us, we are running a summer SIZZLE PASS for 4-hours of unlimited fun. Previously purchased Pro, Noob, and Groupon All-Day passes will still be honored for all-day play.


Staff Wellness Checks & Requirements

Before each shift, staff will have their temperature checked and will be answering questions regarding their wellness and exposure risk, and will be sent home should any issues present themselves. It is our policy that they need to stay home if they feel sick in any way. Staff are also required to wear masks and gloves at all times.


Facility & Buffet Hours

The facility will be open every day at 10am and will close at 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 11pm on Friday and Saturday. The buffet hours will be extended to 9pm. Jake’s After Dark will be discontinued which means a pass will be required for anyone 4 years and older, all day, every day.


Checking In

When you arrive, you will notice our house rules posted clearly outside the building. We will have floor markers helping guide your family through the corral and establish a safe distance from other guests. Our cashier registers will be equipped with clear safety shields and our staff will be wearing masks and gloves. Our new check-in process and advance ticket purchase capability will help limit points of contact at the register. You’ll find sanitizer stations at each register, as well as several located throughout the building available for your use at any time.


Buffet & Dining

When you’re ready to eat, you’ll notice some substantial changes to our now contact-less buffet. Our staff will serve you as you select what you would like from the buffet, now protected by additional plexiglass safety shields. We will also be offering disposable plates and utensils for all guests. As you head over to the beverage station, simply tell the attendant what you would like to drink, and they will be happy to get it for you. Same goes for our unlimited soft-serve ice cream and sorbet, now with even more selections! The dining rooms and open seating areas have been substantially reduced and spread out, leaving plenty of room between families. We simply ask that when you’re done eating you head out to the game floor, so we can sanitize and prepare the table for the next family. You’ll notice that we’ve removed the seating at the bar, but you’re still welcome to grab a drink while you play.


Bowling: What to Expect

A timeless classic, we’ve made some significant changes at our Bowling lanes, from registration through the last frame. Every-other lane will be designated for guests, with seating adjusted with social distancing in mind. At the end of your game, we’ll ask you to leave your shoes and balls on the lane, so our staff can retrieve them and sanitize the area for the next guests.


Games & Attractions: What to Expect

Our attractions and games are an important focus for us for the safety of our guests. Riders will be able to ride with their group but will be placed separately from other guests. After each ride, the attendant will spend time sanitizing the touch points of each ride. This will increase wait times, we know, and we truly appreciate your patience. The corral areas have been extended and equipped with social distance markers and all attendants will encourage riders to sanitize as they exit. We will have staff dedicated to sanitizing surfaces of games and common areas on a constant rotation throughout the day. Laser tag will allow half the amount of guests so our staff can alternate the equipment being used and sanitize them while a game is in session, allowing us to run more games throughout the day and offset the wait time for guests.


Birthday Parties

As we welcome back all our birthday party guests, there are a couple additional steps we are taking to keep everyone safe and healthy. When checking in, we have new procedures in place that allow for more distancing between party guests. Party room capacity will be reduced to twelve people per party. Each room is equipped with its own sanitizer station. Our servers will handle all serving of pizza and sodas to avoid guest cross contamination. We also increased the time between parties to allow for more sanitation procedures.


Bonus Store

When you’re ready to wrap up the fun and spend your tickets on some cool prizes in the Bonus store, you’ll be greeted by one of our staff at the door. They will put you on a text waitlist and when you receive the notification on your phone, you’ll get to one-on-one shop with the staff member. They will pick up the items you choose and place them in a bag after you check out.
